Overseas Player for 2012

The Club are pleased to announce that Kevin Ramsay from Barbados as agreed to play for Seaford next season.  Kevin is 22 years old and a righthand top order batsman and bowls spin.  He has had previous good experience playing in England and we hope he will be a positive addition to our 1st XI. 

Kevin will be arriving in Seaford just before the start of the new league season.  We wish him well and look forward to having him as our overseas player.



Celebrity Cricketers Weekend

Rupert Webb, our President, is holding a Celebrity Cricketers Weekend, which starts with: 

A Celebrity Cricketers Question Time on Saturday 24th March 2012, at St
Aubyn's School, High Street, Rottingdean (entrance in Stenning Road), in aid of
Sussex County Cricket Club's new Museum and St Margaret's Church, Rottingdean.

The Sussex Old Players will be Ted Dexter, John Barclay, John Snow, John
Spencer and James Kirtley, and supported by Michael Jayston (actor and
President of Rottingdean CC). 

Programme: 
10.30am - coffee
11.15am - cricket talk and questions (please come along with a question to be asked)                   
1.00pm - Shepherd's Pie & glass of wine 

Tickets are £15 each and are available from Rupert Webb at 11 Rottingdean

On Sunday 25th March there is a luncheon to be held at Sussex County
Cricket Club 12.30pm for 1.00pm.  Guest of Honour - Ted Dexter - will be
interviewed by Christopher Martin-Jenkins.  Tickets also available from Rupert Webb.

AGM 2011

This years AGM saw the departure of Shirley Frankis, Jamie Goddard & Colin Goddard from the Committee.  The Club would like to thank them for all their hard work which they have put in over the years.

Woman's Team Manager still needed!!!!!

The Woman's Team is currently without a manager, without the manager the team had to fold for the 2011 season, however, the hope is to have the team up and running again for 2012. Volunteers are vital to the health and development of grassroots cricket.  Without them any club cannot exist. There's a role for you at your local cricket club.  Can you help with cricket club administration, help out with junior coaching, manage a junior team, umpire or score?  If so, the Club badly needs your HELP!  You can make a difference!
